Explosion of Fun
FORT WALTON BEACH - July is an "Explosion of Fun!" at the Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center during their continuing community education program entitled "Camp Walton Heritage Craft Days" Saturday, July 5 from noon to 3 p.m.
The Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum is located on Miracle Strip Parkway.
During the event participants will make a take-home project about America's birthday. They will also learn about flag history, and education staff will lead children in hands-on activities that highlight the people, places, and events that are part of the exciting history of the American year.
Participants can expect lots of fun with 1912 time-period games, learning activity handouts and take-home crafts. Children in the second through fifth grades will be especially pleased by the activities, but all are welcome. Advance registration is requested.
A small fee of $2.50 per child will be charged to cover supplies. Museum admission is not charged when attending the craft program only.
